Cryotherapy
The temperature of such treatment depends on the gas that is used for the procedure, and so, for example, liquid nitrogen generates a temperature at the nozzle outlet of -160 ˚C to -195 ˚C, carbon dioxide -75˚C, cold air -35˚C. The procedure can only be performed by a specialist in appropriate medical and treatment facilities using the appropriate equipment
During this procedure, the patient exposes the selected part of the body and the therapist directs the cold steam nozzle over the affected area at a distance of 15-20 cm. The procedure lasts variously depending on the treated area, from 1 minute to 3-5 minutes, it is not unpleasant or painful, only after several seconds a chill is felt in the treated part of the body. To achieve the therapeutic effect of spot cryotherapy, the treatment should be performed at least once a day in a series of 10-15 treatments.
